FAQ – SlackMove
Everything about slacklines, Slackracks and Slackboards to train at home or in the garden.
What is a slackline and what is it for?
A slackline is a webbing tensioned between two anchors to train balance, core and coordination. Playful, accessible and highly effective for full-body strength.
Slackline vs Slackrack vs Slackboard – what’s the difference?
- Slackline: webbing between two anchors (trees, ground anchors).
- Slackrack: free-standing structure, perfect indoors or without trees.
- Slackboard: compact board with a central webbing, ideal for small spaces and quick sessions.
I’m a beginner – what should I choose?
Start with a Slackrack (stable & simple) or a 15 m / 50 mm slackline with ratchet. Slackboard is great for daily proprioception work.
How to set up a slackline without trees?
Use a Slackrack or ground anchors (earth screws). Always follow the manual and check stability before use.
Can I train indoors?
Yes. Slackrack and Slackboard are designed for indoor practice. Ensure free space around and protect the floor if needed.
What’s the recommended max user weight?
Depends on the model; most recommend up to 150 kg. Check the product page for the exact value.
How do I maintain my slackline / slackrack?
Wash the webbing with cold water and mild soap, air-dry, avoid prolonged humidity. Regularly inspect stitches, webbing and anchors.
Can I leave the setup outside?
Avoid long exposure to sun and rain. Dismantling after sessions helps preserve the gear.
My ratchet is stuck – what can I do?
Fully release the webbing, check orientation, gently free the mechanism (gloves recommended). Light lubrication can help.
From what age can kids practice?
Kids can practice under supervision. Start low, on soft ground, with a wide and stable webbing.
Health & fitness benefits?
Balance, core, posture, coordination, mental focus. Great cross-training with yoga, running or strength work.
